Ranching and Mining Festival 2008

October 18th & 19th

The Peeples Valley/Yarnell Historical Society will again be holding our primary fundraising event of 2008, the Ranching and Mining Festival.  This year’s event has been expanded to a two day venue; we are also relocating the festival to Model Creek School on Hays Ranch Road in Peeples Valley with over 7 acres which

will accommodate more parking as well as many new activities.

Past participants have included representation by Sherlot Hall Museum, Desert Caballeros Western Museum, and the Yavapai Indian Tribe along with many

great vendors offering unique products.

This year’s two day event will start with an early morning pancake breakfast on Saturday morning; the event will be packed with live entertainment including non- stop local Arizona musicians playing Country and Cowboy Music, Traditional, Contemporary and Gospel Bluegrass and Folk Music on 2 stages!  There’ll be Arts and Crafts Vendors, Food vendors, a Ropin’ Contest, a Stick Horse Rodeo for the kids, “Mini Mystique” the world class miniature horse driving drill team, Gold Pannin, Cowboy Poets, Workshop, Demonstrations, a Saturday Night Concert and  Cowboy Dinner and much, much more.  This year we’ll also have a Sunday morning Cowboy Church Service to start the day.

If you are interested in being a vendor at the event a vendor application can be found on our website, along with contact information.
