The Peeples Valley/Yarnell Historical Society will again be holding our primary fundraising event for 2008, the Ranching and Mining Festival. This year’s event has been expanded to a two day venue and will be held Saturday
and Sunday October 18th and 19th at Model Creek School on Hays Ranch Road in Peeples Valley. This move was necessitated to accommodate more guests, more vendors and improve parking. This year’s two day event will be packed with local Arizona musicians playing Country and Cowboy Music, Traditional, Contemporary, and Gospel Bluegrass and Folk music, Cowboy Poets, Arts and Crafts vendors, Food Vendors, Ropin Contest, Stick Horse Rodeo, Gold Pannin, Workshops and Demonstrations and much, much more. Our Festival is fast becoming a premier event for this area that is supported by citizens of southern Yavapai County.
Merchandise vendors offering
handmade and period type items are preferred but others will be considered.
Vendor set up will be at 8:00am Saturday and Sunday. Booths should be manned until 4:00 pm.
Charge for space will be $20 (10 X 10) for merchandise vendors and $30 for food vendors. All vendors will need to supply their own tables and canopies if so desired. Rain date is set for the following weekend October 25th and 26th. Permits where applicable, tax, licensing and collection will be the responsibility of each vendor. Applications are due by Sept 15th, however spaces will be allocated on a first paid basis. Basic Limited Accommodations are available also on a first come basis.
